MUMBAI: Riding back-to-back quarterfinal appearances at the Denmark and French Super Series, ace shuttler Saina Nehwal rose two rungs to be placed sixth in the latest world rankings.
"Nothing new in that," laughed the perky Hyderabadi teen, who was ranked just outside the top five even during the World Championships in August.
"I have two more Super Series to go before the season ends, but I'm not going with the mindset that I have to crack the top five by the year end.

I haven't set myself any targets," Saina told TOI from Delhi before taking the connecting flight to Hong Kong for the first of the two $250,000 events starting November 10. The China Open in Shanghai (Nov 17-22) is the penultimate stop for the top-ranked Indian who has already qualified for the season-ending eight-field Super Series Masters Finals to be held at Kuala Lumpur from December 2-6.
While the Indian shuttler is on the cusp of entering the elite bracket, it's highly unlikely that she would be able to realise her long-cherished dream this year.
