NAGPUR: City shuttlers Mugdha Agrey and Pallavi Pitale have qualified for the main draw in the Gautam Thakkar Memorial All India Junior Ranking Badminton tournament in Mumbai on Wednesday.
In the U-19 girls singles final qualification round, Pallavi downed Namitha Shetty 15-8, 15-9.
Pallavi will meet Riya Mookerjee in the first round on Thursday, while in the U-17 singles, Pallavi will lock horns with No.

Mugdha and Pallavi are seeded eighth in the U-17 girls doubles. They also have main draw in the U-19 doubles.
Mugdha did well to qualify for the U-19 singles main draw. She upset sixth seed Palak Kukreja on Tuesday and in the final qualifying round, she rallied to beat B Archana. She will now take on M Tanishq in the first round on Thursday. In the U-17 singles, Mugdha has a tough first round against seventh seed Anura Prabhudesai.
Vaishnavi Bhale and Mrunamayi Saoji are the other city girls in the main draw. Vaishnavi and Mrunmayi have direct entry in the U-19 doubles main draw.
After failing to qualify in the singles, Sourabh Kerhalkar will try his best in the U-17 boys doubles with his partner Deep Rambhiya of Thane. They will meet Ravinder Goyat and Aman Kumar in the first round.
