India blank Macau to enter quarterfinals

India kicked off their campaign at the Badminton Asia Mixed Team with a 5-0 victory against Macau in Group D at the Qingdao Sports Centre Conson Gymansium in China on Wednesday. With this victory, India made it to the quarterfinals.

National Games gold medallists Sathish Karunakaran and Aadya Variyath gave India a winning start as they downed Leong Lok Chong and Ng Weng Chi 21-10, 21-9 in mixed doubles.

Lakshya Sen made it 2-0 with an impressive 21-16, 21-12 victory against Pui Pang Fong.
