Chinese shuttlers too good for India

HYDERABAD: The script went along expected lines as China thrashed India 5-0 in Group A of the Sudirman Cup mixed team event at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.
India face Indonesia in a must-win league contest on Monday. As two teams from a Group of three can progress into the quarterfinals, India need to beat Indonesia to stay alive.
Teen PV Sindhu and the men's doubles pair of Akshay Dewalkar and Pranaav Jerry Chopra provided some solace to the otherwise lopsided contest India put up against the defending champions.
Sindhu stunned Yihan by taking the first game at 21-19. Yihan went all out in the decider and gave no scope for Sindhu as she clinched the game at 21-14.
World No.11 Parupalli Kashyap came a cropper against Chen Long. Long took just 33 minutes to down the Indian at 21-11, 21-9.
