Ashwini Ponnappa and youngster PC Thulasi guided ONGC to a 2-0 victory over IOCL in the final of the women's team event in the 34th Petroleum Sports Promotion Board inter-unit badminton tournament here on Thursday.
Thulasi got her team off to a great start by dismissing Tanvi Lad 21-15, 21-18 before teaming up with Ashwini to get the better of Aparna Balan and Prajakta Sawant.
The IOCL duo put up a brave fight by taking the first game comfortably, but couldn't prevent their opponents from winning 7-21, 22-20, 21-12.
