Nearly two weeks after Ajit Pawar joined the ruling coalition as Deputy Chief Minister and eight other NCP MLAs were sworn in as ministers, the Maharashtra Cabinet was reshuffled on July 14. Pawar was given the Finance and Planning portfolio, which he had held in the previous Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government. The reshuffle was seen as a way to consolidate the power of the Ajit Pawar faction within the NCP. It also came at a time when the MVA government is facing increasing pressure from the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).#ajitpawar #ncp #maharashtrapolitics #maharashtranews #maharashtra #ytshorts #shorts Subscribe to The Times of India's YouTube channel: http://goo.gl/WgIatuFor daily news & updates and exclusive stories, follow the Times of IndiaFacebook:https://www.facebook.com/TimesofIndiaInstagram:https://www.instagram.com/timesofindia/Download the app: http://toi.in/3SLUCa80Follow TOI+ for well-researched and in-depth news and analysisFacebook:https://www.facebook.com/timesofindia...Twitter:https://twitter.com/TOIPlusInstagram:https://www.instagram.com/toi_plus/
