US Eases Iran Oil Sanctions But Supply Concerns Persist, Says Dhruv Katoch

Defence expert Dhruv Katoch has said that the United States decision to temporarily lift sanctions on Iranian crude may not fully ease global supply concerns. Speaking on the ongoing conflict, he noted that while Iranian oil shipments are now allowed, the lack of available floating tankers limits immediate supply. Katoch added that any existing tankers in regions like the Indian Ocean could be redirected, but challenges remain. He said India currently has adequate reserves, but warned of potential short-term gas shortages. However, he expressed confidence that supply issues could stabilise over time despite the ongoing crisis.
