Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei on Friday called for Iran’s enemies to be stripped of their “security” in a strong public message. The remarks, delivered via a statement to President Masoud Pezeshkian and aired on IRIB, followed Israel’s killing of Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib. Khamenei has not appeared publicly since succeeding his father, Ali Khamenei, raising speculation amid reports he was injured during the conflict.
