Reuven Azar Backs Iran Change Push, Calls Regime “Ruthless” Amid Israel-Iran Conflict

Amid the ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran, Israel’s Ambassador to India Reuven Azar said the Basij forces and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps remain “ruthless” and responsible for widespread violence against Iranians. He noted that rising against such oppression is extremely difficult, but expressed hope that people in Iran may turn the current moment into an opportunity for change. Azar added that both the United States and Israel had a moral responsibility to offer hope to Iranians. He also claimed that voices of support and celebration are emerging from Iranians globally, reflecting aspirations for a better, freer future.
