PM Modi Lays Foundation Stone For HCL-Foxconn Semiconductor Plant In UP

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of India Chip Private Limited, a joint venture between Taiwan’s Foxconn and India’s HCL Group, to set up an Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly & Test (OSAT) facility at the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority in Jewar, Greater Noida. The project aims to boost India’s semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem. Modi said it was a proud moment as Uttar Pradesh moves toward becoming a major hub for semiconductor systems.
