"Masjid Suffered No Loss" Salman Khurshid On MCD demolition Near Faiz-e-Elahi Masjid

Reacting to the anti-encroachment demolition drive carried out by the MCD near Faiz-e-Elahi Masjid at Turkman Gate, Congress leader Salman Khurshid said the mosque itself has not suffered any damage and remains completely intact. He clarified that the demolition was limited to the surrounding area, which was earlier used for social functions such as weddings and events. Khurshid noted that the matter was already under judicial consideration and action was taken only after the court did not grant any relief. While acknowledging that the court found the action valid, he remarked that such issues are sensitive social matters and could have been handled in a more considerate manner.
