“Mamata Has Double Face”: Owaisi Targets TMC Manifesto Ahead Of Bengal Polls

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi launched a sharp attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over the TMC’s 2026 Assembly election manifesto. Speaking in Patna, Owaisi alleged that Mamata Banerjee presents a “double face” on issues concerning minorities. He referred to last year’s High Court decision cancelling several backward class certificates, including those of a large number of Muslims, and claimed there was no proper discussion on the matter. Owaisi also questioned the outreach through an Urdu manifesto, highlighting concerns over representation, employment, and poverty among Muslims in districts like Malda and Murshidabad. His remarks come as political tensions rise ahead of the crucial state elections.
