Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut hit out at Maharashtra deputy chief minister and Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde over the selection of the new Mumbai mayor. Raut said it was for the first time that the mayor of the city would be decided by Amit Shah in Delhi. He hit out at Shinde, saying that the deputy CM was forced to go to Delhi over the appointment of BMC mayor. The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance won the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) polls by bagging 118 out of 227 seats.
