Legendary performer Barbra Streisand is set to receive an Honourary Palme d’Or at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival, recognising her extraordinary career in film and music. The award will be presented during the festival’s ceremony on May 23, marking Streisand’s first appearance on the famous Croisette. Known for iconic films like Yentl and The Prince of Tides, the EGOT-winning star said she feels “pride and deep humility” to join past recipients of the prestigious honor. Cannes Director Thierry Frémaux praised Streisand as a global artist who bridges Broadway, Hollywood, and the world of music and cinema.
