BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla has launched a sharp attack on the opposition’s INDI Alliance, accusing it of repeatedly insulting constitutional institutions. Speaking in Delhi, he alleged that leaders of the alliance criticise institutions whenever decisions do not favour them, while claiming to uphold the Constitution when outcomes are in their interest. Poonawalla further accused the opposition of prioritising “family rule” over democratic systems. His remarks come amid an ongoing political war of words between the BJP and opposition parties, highlighting deepening tensions over governance, institutional integrity and political accountability ahead of key electoral battles in the country.
