When is Vasanta Purnima 2026? know date, time and significance
Purnima is one of the most prominent day in Hindu religion. This is a sacred day to perform various puja rituals and spiritual activities. Purnima falls every month on the 15th day of lunar fortnight. This month, Vasant Purnima will fall on the day of Holi that combines with Chandra Grahan. On this auspicious day, devotees offer prayers to Lord Vishnu, observe satyanarayan vrat and worship Moon god also. But this time you should be careful because Chandra Grahan will take place on the same day which makes it not so beneficial and inauspicious. This month, Vansant Purnima is going to be observed on March 3, 2026.

On this auspicious day, devotees of Lord Vishnu observe Satyanarayan Vrat and offer prayers to the Lord. This day is considered to be very virtuous in terms of praying, fasting, going to temples, taking a holy dip in the Ganga, and doing hawan. According to popular belief, the devotees who offer their sincere prayers to Lord Vishnu on the same day, they would receive good fortune, money, health, and prosperity.
1. People take a sacred bath after rising early in the morning.
2. Clean the house and the puja room specifically.
3. Set up an idol of Lord Vishnu and Shree Yantra.
4. Light a desi ghee diya and offer a garland of yellow flowers.
5. Add haldi or yellow chandan tilak and one must spread some akshat then keep a water filled kalash on that.
5. Offer homemade sweets, fruits, meetha paan, tulsi patra, panjeeri, and panchamrit.
6. Chant the Lord Vishnu mantras and recite the Purnima Katha.
7. Before completing the puja rituals, recite the aarti of "Om Jai Laxmi Ramana" and "Om Jai Jagdish Hare".
8. Before breaking the fast in the evening, one must offer water to Moon God and bhog prasad to Lord Vishnu.
