Shravan Putrada Ekadashi 2024: Ekadashi is one of the most sacred day when devotees of Lord Vishnu observe, offer their prayers to Bhagwan Vishnu and seek blessings. On this auspicious day, they observe strict fast from early morning and break their fast next day on Dwadashi Tithi. Ekadashi falls twice in a month during Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha. Putrada Ekadashi that falls during Shravana month known as Shravan Putrada Ekadashi. Shravan Putrada Ekadashi holds a great religious and spiritual significance among Hindus. Ekadashi is considered the most auspicious day when people observe strict fast starts from Ekadashi Tithi and then break their fast the next day on Dwadashi Tithi. Each Ekadashi has its own story and significance so similarly Shravan Putrada Ekadashi is for those, who do not have their own children or son. It is believed that by observing this fast, childless devotees can get child or son. Married couples who are having trying to have a child and are unable to have a child, they must observe this fast and worship Lord Vishnu with immense devotion.

Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath. Clean your home and where you want to set up an altar. Place an idol of Lord Vishnu and light an earthen lamp with desi ghee in front of the idol. Chant various mantras dedicated to Lord Vishnu to invoke the idol. Offer Tulsi Patra, adorn the idol with flowers and put tilak with sandalwood paste.
