Vijaya Ekadashi 2026: Date, parana time, puja rituals and significance
Ekadashi holds a great religious and spiritual significance among Hindus. The day is observed with great devotion. Ekadashi is fully dedicated to Lord Vishnu and devotees observe fast on this auspicious day to seek blessings of the Lord. This month, Vijaya Ekadashi is going to be observed on 11th day of Krishna Paksha in the month of Phalguna. Vijaya Ekadashi fast will be observed on February 13, 2026.

Ekadashi is one of the most auspicious days in Hindu religion and devotees of Lord Vishnu observe fast on this sacred day and offer their sincere prayers to the Lord. The day holds a great religious and spiritual significance among Hindus. They perform various puja rituals and spiritual activities to seek blessings of Shri Hari. The observe rigorous fast begins from Ekadashi tithi and broken on dwadashi tithi. This day is believed to bring good fortune, victory, wealth and happiness in the life of devotees. Vijaya Ekadashi means the victory so the one who observe fast with devotion and perform puja on Vijaya Ekadashi always triumphs over the enemies. This fast have helped various kings and emperors in the past to win the battle.
According to the Hindu scriptures and puranas, when people get stuck in tough situation and surrounded by the enemies then they are advised to observe this fast to overcome the situation and to defeat their enemies. Vijaya Ekadashi is believed to bring relief from the sufferings. The one who observe this fast gets wealth, luck, prosperity, victory and vitality. Devotees must follow proper rules and regulations to receive the immense blessings of Lord Vishnu on the day of Ekadashi. This fast also helps to enhance positivity, inner strength n a person.
1. Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath.
2. Clean the puja room and place an idol of Lord Vishnu and Shri yantra on a wooden plank.
3. Light a diya with desi ghee in front of the idol and light incense sticks.
4. Offer seasonal fruits, dry fruits, tulsi patra and panchamrit to Lord Vishnu.
5. Invoke the idol by chanting mantras and recite Ekadashi vrat katha.
6. Recite the name of Lord Vishnu whole day and then perform puja in the evening also.
7. Those who re unable to bear hunger can break their fast and have sattvik Ekadashi vrat food that is recommended for the fast.
8. The fast will be broken on the next day during parana time.
