Vaikuntha Ekadashi 2023: Vaikuntha Ekadashi holds a great religious significance among Hindus. This day is dedicated to worship Lord Vishnu and devotees observe fast, offer prayers and visit temple to seek blessings of Lord Vishnu. On this auspicious day, the gates of Vaikuntha (the Lord’s abode) open for the devotees. This is a major festival of South India celebrated in all the temples of Lord Vishnu. Vaikuntha Ekadashi is observed on Ekadashi Tithi (11th day) of Shukla Paksha in the month of Margashirsha. This year, Vaikuntha Ekadashi fast is going to be observed on December 23, 2023.

Vaikuntha Ekadashi 2023: Significance
Vaikuntha Ekadashi has a great religious and spiritual significance in Hindu religion. This day is purely dedicated to Lord Vishnu and people offer prayers and observe fast on this auspicious day to please Lord Vishnu and seek blessings. This Ekadashi is celebrated as a major festival in the states of South India. They celebrate this day with great grandeur especially in Tirumala Tirupati temple. A large number of devotees visit this temple and offer prayers to Lord Venkateswara.
Devotees worship Lord Vishnu, observe fast and visit temple. They also chant Vishnu Sahasranama, shri hari stotram on this auspicious day to please Lord Vishnu and seek his blessings. It is believed that those who observe fast on this Ekadashi with full devotion and dedication, they get blessed by Lord Vishnu and directly goes to Vaikuntha Dham. They successfully attain the liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
Vaikuntha Ekadashi 2023: Puja Vidhi
1. Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath.
2. Place a idol of Lord Vishnu along with Shree Yantra on a wooden plank.
3. Light a diya in front of Lord Vishnu and offer Tulsi Patra.
4. Recite Vishnu Sahasranama and Shree Hari Stotram.
5. Chant Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaye 108 times.
6. Devotees can also chant Shri Krishna Maha Mantra.
7. In the evening also, one must offer prayers to Lord Vishnu and offer bhog prasad.
8. Offer Panchamrit, home made sweets such as kheer and halwa.
