Skanda Sashti holds a great religious significance in Hindu religion. Skanda Sashti is dedicated to Lord Murugan and this day is mainly celebrated in South India with immense devotion and faith. Skanda Sashti 2024: Puja Rituals

1. Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath.
2. Clean your home, puja room and make rangoli with rice flour at the entrance of the door.
3. Prepare bhog prasad for the deity.

4. Take a wooden plank and place an idol of Lord Kartikeya, offer garland, light a diya with desi ghee and offer fruits.
5. Place a kalash filled with water.
6. Visit temple and perform abhishekam to the idol of Lord Karitkeya with panchamrit.
7. Offer coconut to Lord Skanda to wards off all the evil energies.
8. Present all the offerings to Lord Murugan.
9. Show your gratitude and seek blessings by chanting various mantras.
