Shravan Putrada Ekadashi is one of the most auspicious day, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. On this sacred day, Lord Vishnu is worshipped by a large number of devotees. People offer prayers to Lord Vishnu and observe strict fast. This month, Shravan Putrada Ekadashi is being observed on 11th day of Shukla Paksha in the month of Sawan i.e., August 16, 2024.

Shravan Putrada holds a great religious and spiritual significance. This day is purely dedicated to worship Lord Vishnu. Putrada Ekadashi means Putra (Son) and Ada means giver of the son, which means As we all know that this is Chaturmas going and Lord Vishnu is resting in Ksheer Sagar for four months so it is believed that in these four months of period, devotees worship Lord Krishna.

Shravan Putrada Ekadashi Vrat is mostly done by the married women who do not have child. They are advised to observe strict fast and break it on Dwadashi Tithi during Parana Time. This Ekadashi Vrat has various benefits and those who observe this miraculous fast, can get desired wish fulfillments.

Shravan Putrada Ekadashi 2024: Puja Rituals

1. Devotees wake up early in the morning and take bath.
2. One must take a sankalp to observe this fast with firm devotion.
3. Place an idol of Lord Krishna, light a diya, offer flowers, Tulsi Patra, Panchamrit and sweets.
4. Devotees perform puja in the evening just before sunset and offer bhog prasad to Lord Krishna. They chant Maha Mantra, recite Vishnu Sahastranaam, Shri Hari Stotram and chant Lord Vishnu aarti.
5.People who can not bear hunger, can consume bhog prasad in the evening after performing puja but that should be sattvik food items recommended for fast.
6. Bhog Prasad must be satvik - fruits, milk products and fried potatoes and use rock salt while preparing food.
7. Distribute bhog prasad among all the family members.
8. Devotees also visit Lord Krishna temple to seek blessings.
