Ravi Pradosh Vrat holds an immense religious significance in Hindu religion. This day is considered as an auspicious day to perform puja to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It is believed that Pradosh Vrat is a powerful vrat and women who observe this fast with devotion and dedication, get all the happiness and prosperity. They are worshipped during the time of Gaudhuli.

Ravi Pradosh Vrat 2024: Puja Rituals

1. Wake up early in the morning and take holy bath before starting puja rituals.
2. Take a wooden plank and place an idol of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
3. Light a diya with desi ghee and offer red and white colour flowers, sweets such as kheer and others offerings.
4. Chant various mantras dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
5. Recite Shiva Puran and Shiv Tandav Stotram to seek blessings of Lord Shiva.
6. Worship Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati in the evening at the time of Gaudhuli and perform all the puja rituals and conclude the puja with Aarti.
7. Distribute bhog prasad among the family members.
8. Break your fast sattvik food and avoid tamasik food items during this fast.
