This day is regarded as the most sacred for engaging in a variety of religious and spiritual practices. People who observe fast on Ekadashi with genuine dedication and purity are believed to get a place in Vaikuntha dham after their death. If you regularly observe Ekadashi fast, you can easily establish a divine connection with the deity. This fast reduces stress and attachment to the material world, promotes self-discipline, increases spirituality, and helps you regulate your senses. This is one of the most potent spiritual exercises that fosters spiritual awareness, humility, and mindfulness.
1. Wake up early in the morning during brahma muhurat and take a holy bath.
2. Clean the house, paying particular attention to the puja room.
3. Place an idol of Lord Vishnu and Shree Yantra, a representation of Goddess Lakshmi, on a wooden plank.
4. In front of the idol, light a diya with desi ghee.
6. Take a sankalp of fasting with purity.
7. Offer panchamrit, fruits, and tulsi patra to the Lord.
9. One must pray to the Lord in the evening also, recite the tale of a specific Ekadashi, and chant Lord Vishnu aarti.
10. On the day of Ekadashi, never pluck tulsi patra.
11. You can consume fruits and dairy products.
13 On dwadashi tithi at parana time, the fast would be broken.
