Take a sankalp of observing fast with pure intentions. Clean the puja room before placing the idol of Lord Vishnu and Shree Yantra. Once cleaning part is done, one must place the idols and pictures and light a diya with desi cow ghee. Offer garland or flowers, Tulsi Patra but make sure you do not pluck the Tulsi Patra on the day of Ekadashi, you can pluck it a day before. Perform puja rituals and recite Om Namo Bhagvate Vasudevaye. In the evening also, one must perform puja rituals, light a diya with desi ghee and recite Vishnu Sahasranama and those who recite Vishnu Sahasranama on this auspicious day, Lord Vishnu ward off all the obstacles from the life of devotees. Offer home made prepared food which you are going to have so fist offer it to the Lord. Prepare panchamrit and that also you should offer to Lord Vishnu. In the end, one must perfrom Aarti of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi. Break your fast with fruits, or sattvik food which is recommended for fasting such as Kuttu pakodi, fried potatoes with curd but make sure you use rock salt. Mantra1.
