Kharmas 2026: Kharmas period is not considered auspicious time, when all the auspicious activities are forbidden. People should not plan any auspicious activity or event in this month because this month is not appropriate to perform these types of activities. Khramas is also known as Malmas and this is going to start from March 15 and it will end on April 14, 2026.

Kharmas is the period that falls twice a year, when Sun transits in Sagittarius and Pisces zodiac sign. Now, Sun is going to move from Aquarius to Pisces so it will begin from March 15, 2026.
Kharmas is the inauspicious period when people should refrain from organizing events like marriage, roka ceremony, engagement, mundan, griha pravesh, buying house and starting new business. During this month, all auspicious events will be ceased. People are advised to perform puja rituals and spiritual activities such as hawan or yajna, chanting mantras, reciting holy scriptures and books, visiting holy places and perform all types of puja. Offering prayers to Lord Vishnu is believed to bring wealth, good fortune, good luck, good health and vitality.

2. Visiting sacred places will bring spiritual awareness in life.
3. People should chant Lord Vishnu and Surya mantras during this month.
4. Recitation of Vishnu Sahasranama and Aditya Hridya Stotram will be beneficial.
5. Strengthen your Guru by worshipping banyana tree every Thursday.
6. You should worship banyan tree for vitality and good health.
7. You should feed brahmins during this month as it will be rewarding.
8. Organising Satyanarayan katha, Ramayana path will be meritorious.
9. You should avoid organising engagement and roka ceremony.
10. People should avoid for hair cut or mundan.
11. It is forbidden to start new business, buying new property or house.
12. On should not enter in a new house during this month.
