Goddess Jagaddhatri is the manifestation of Maa Durga. The day Jagaddhatri Puja is celebrated to honor Maa Durga. The day is mainly celebrated in West Bengal. On Friday, October 31, 2025, Jagaddhatri Puja will be observed. Devotees observe fast and offer their sincere prayers to Maa Durga.

Jagaddhtari name means Jagat (world) aand Dhatri (sustainer) and know as the mother of the world. She is known as the preserver of this universe. On this auspicious day, devotees perform various puja rituals to appease Maa Jagaddhatri and some devotees perform spiritual activities to gain siddhis. The festival is mainly observerd in Hoogly, Kolkata, and other parts of West Bengal. Maa Jagaddhatri is shown in a calm position, who represents victory of good over evil. She has a conch, trident and lotus in her hands. She is in the form of a nurturing Goddess and not a fierce one.
Jagaddhatri Puja is one of the most sacred day when devotees perform puja to another calm manifestation of Goddess Durga. This day is considered as an opportunity to show their gratitude, dedication, happiness to Maa Jagaddhatri. They utilise this day by performing various puja rituals and spiritual activities to seek blessings of the Goddess. Some devotees also perform various other activities to attain siddhi's. This is the best day to get protection from Maa Durga as she is the divine mother and all devotees consider her as their mother so they can also request Maa to provide them protection if they think they are in danger or attacked by negative energies and spirits. People of West Bengal elebrate this day by organising traditional form of dance and music, and cultural performances, and temples and pandals are decorated with lights and flowers.
