Ekadashi in September 2023: Ekadashi holds a great significance among Hindus. This day is considered auspicious to worship Lord Vishnu. Devotees offer prayers and observe fast to please Lord Vishnu. There are total 24 Ekadashi observances in a year. Ekadashi falls twice a month, during Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha. Ekadashi fast is considered an auspicious fast.

Ekadashi in September 2023: Puja Rituals1. Wake up early in the morning and take a bath.
2. Clean the puja room and take a wooden plank.
3. Place an an idol of Lord Vishnu and give a bath with water, gangajal and panchamrit.
4. Place him on a plank and adorn him with clothes and jewellery.
5. Light a diya, offer flowers, five fruits, dry fruits, Tulsi Patra, Panchamrit and home made sweets.
6. Take a sankalp of observing fast with pure intentions and seek blessings.
7. Chant Om Namo Bhagvate Vasudevaye and recite Vishnu Sahasranaam.
8. One must recite Ekadashi story and then aarti.
9. Devotees break their fast on Dwadashi Tithi but people who are unable to bear hunger, can have sattvik food such as milk products and fruits and break their fast in the evening after sunset.
