Ekadashi holds a great significance among Hindus. They observe this day with immense devotion and dedication. This fast is observed by all Vaishnavs and they seek blessings of Lord Vishnu. There are total 24 Ekadashi observances in the year and it is believed that devotees who observe fast on this auspicious day, they get free from past life bad karmas and get the place in Vaikunth dham (an abode of Lord Vishnu) after their death.

Ekadashi in November 2023: Puja Rituals

1. Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath.
2. Clean the house and puja room.
3. Place an idol of Lord Vishnu on the wooden plank.

4. Light a diya, put tilak with yellow chandan and haldi kumkum, offer home made sweets and tulsi patra.
5. In the evening, offer prayers, recite vishnu sahastranaam, recite vrat katha and chant aarti.
6. They can break their fast with fruits and sattvik Vrat meal.
7. The fast will be broken on the next day on Dwadashi Tithi durin Parana time.
