Ekadashi Tithi holds an immense religious and spiritual significance ion Hindu religion. This day is purely dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the preserver of this universe. Devotees observe Ekadashi fast every month during Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha. This fast has the ability to cleanse your body, mind and soul. It can transform your life from negative to positive. Devotees who are inclined to follow spiritual path, they are advised to observe this fast every month.
They should get involved in spiritual and religious activities such as performing puja, visiting temple. Taking holy bath in Ganga river, donating food and clothes to Brahmins, feeding birds and animals. Doing charity for the welfare of the society is highly rewarding. This fast can be observed by anyone irrespective of caste, creed and religion but you should have blind faith in Lord Vishnu.
Ekadashi in July 2024: Puja Rituals
1. Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath before starting puja rituals.
2. Place an diol of Lord Vishnu, Lord Krishna and Laddoo Gopal Ji.
3. Give them bath with normal water and then with Panchamrit.
4. Light a diya with desi ghee and then adorn them with flowers.
5. Offer them Tulsi Patra and Panchamrit.
6. Recite Vishnu Sahasranama and Chant mantras dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
7. It is highly meritorious to perform hawan rituals, donate food and clothes to brahmins, feeding animals, taking holy bath in Ganga river, feed poor and needy people.
8. Devotees must visit Lord Krishna and Lord Vishnu temples to express gratitude.
