Ekadashi in January 2024: SignificanceEkadashi has a great religious significance among Hindus. Devotees observe fast on this auspicious day and celebrate this day with great devotion and dedication. People offer prayers to Lord Vishnu and worship him with immense devotion. People all over the world who are associated with Iskcon celebrate Ekadashi. Ekadashi occurs twice in a month, during Krishna Paksha and Shukla Paksha. There are total 24 Ekadashi observances in a year. Ekadashi is considered an important day in Hindu religion observed with various rules and regulation.
It is believed that people, who observe Ekadashi fast, get blessed by Lord Vishnu with prosperity, happiness, health and wealth and they even get rid of their past bad Karmas whether they have committed those Karmas knowingly or unknowingly.
Ekadashi in January 2024: Rituals 1. Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath.
2. Clean the house especially puja room.
3. Take a wooden plank and Lord Vishnu idol, Laddoo Gopal idol and Lord Krishna idol if you have along with Shree Yantra.
4. Give them a holy bath and place them.
5. Light a diya with desi cow ghee and offer a garland.
6. Offer home made sweets and Panchamrit and Tulsi Patra.
7. Do not pluck Tulsi Patra on Ekadashi day.
8. Recite Vishnu Sahasranaama and chant "Om Namo Bhagvate Vasudevaye"
9. In the evening, one must offer prayers to the Lord again and chant Aarti.
