On the day of Diwali, get up early and clean the house and puja room or platform. Decorate the whole house with flowers, green leaves, and lights. In the evening, when the Lakshmi Puja Muhurat begins, perform the Lakshmi Puja. Place the Maa Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha idols/photos along with Lord Kubera on the puja platform and join your palms for prayer. Offer fruits, flowers, dhoop deep, sweets, to the deities and follow it up with Goddess Lakshmi Aarti.
