Bhanu Saptami 2023 will be observed on Sunday, February 26, 2023. Bhanu Saptami is dedicated to Lord Surya, also known as the Sun God. In Hindu mythology, Lord Surya is considered to be a manifestation of the divine energy that sustains life on earth. Bhanu Saptami Date
Bhanu Saptami is a Hindu festival that is observed on the seventh day (Saptami) of the waxing phase of the moon in the month of Magha (January-February). It is also known as Vivasvat Saptami or Surya Jayanti, as it is believed to be the birth anniversary of the Sun God, Surya.

Bhanu Saptami is considered to be an auspicious day for performing rituals and offering prayers to the Sun God. Devotees believe that observing this festival with devotion can bring them good health, prosperity, and happiness.

The Sun God is often depicted riding a chariot drawn by seven horses, which represent the seven colors of the rainbow. He is also believed to be the source of the Gayatri Mantra, one of the most powerful mantras in Hinduism. Devotees recite the Gayatri Mantra on Bhanu Saptami to invoke Lord Surya's blessings and seek his divine grace.

Bhanu Saptami Rituals
On Bhanu Saptami, devotees wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath before sunrise. They offer prayers to the Sun God, recite mantras, and perform puja rituals. They also offer water, flowers, and other offerings to the Sun God, while chanting hymns in his praise. Some devotees also fast on this day and offer prayers for the well-being of their families and loved ones.
