Astrological Significance of Karva Chauth Fast

Occurring in the Kartik month's Krishna Pakshaa's fourth day, i.e. on Sankashti Chaturthi, Karva Chauth is one of the most popular festivals celebrated by married women and young girls of marriageable age across the country. In 2019, Karva Chauth occurs on 17th October 2019.

Married women fast and celebrate this festival to seek marital bliss and for the long, healthy life of their husbands. On the other hand, young girls observe this fast to seek the desired husband. This fast is to be followed strictly, without drinking water or consuming any type of food or fruits until the fast in broken after praying to the Moon.
