Ayodhya Ram Mandir: Every item of jewellery that adorned the idol of Lord Ram Lalla in the Ram Temple in Ayodhya has its own special significance. Ram Lalla is placed as a five year old during the Pran Praithstha ceremony on
January 22, 2024. The jewellery worn by Ram Lalla is disclosed by the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra.
Ram Lalla is in the form of a five year old child so traditional toys made up of silver are placed in front of the idol and the toys are - rattle, elephant, horse, camel, toy cart and a spinning top.
Let's now talk about the jewellery that Ram Lalla is wearing. Here's the list given below :-- Crown has an emblem of Sun God - The gold crown was made in the North Indian style and is set with diamonds, emeralds, and rubies. The Surya Dev symbol is located in the centre. Pearl strands are braided on the right side of the crown.
- Kaustubha Mani - The idol's heart is embellished with the Kaustubha Mani, a huge ruby and diamonds. Scripture, according to the Trust, states that this jewel is worn in the heart of every incarnation of Vishnu.
- Vijayamala - Ram Lalla is wearing the longest necklace. The ruby-studded gold necklace represents winning. The lotus, the shankh, the mangal kalash, the Sudarshana chakra, and the lotus are emblems of the Vaishnava tradition.
- Bajubandh - Lord wears armlets on both arms studded with gold and precious stones.
- Kangan - Beautiful gem studded bangles are worn in both hands.
- Mudrika - Rings adorned with gems and featuring dangling pearls are worn on both the hands.
- Kardhani - Adorned around the waist of Ram Lalla and it is a gems studded waist band made up of gold with natural elegance and decorated with diamonds, rubies, pearls and emeralds. It also features small bells symbolising purity, with strands of pearls, rubies and emeralds hanging from them.
- Painjaniya - Lord Ram's feet are adorned with gem studded anklets and toe rings inlaid with diamonds and rubies along with golden ankle bells.
- Left hand - In Ram Lalla's left hand there is a gold bow adorned with pearls, rubies and emeralds while the right hand holds a golden arrow.
- Around neck - There is a garland featuring colourful floral pattern crafted by a dedicated handicraft institution.
- Ram Lalla's feet - It is decorated with lotus under which a gold garland is arranged.
