Soora Samharan 2024: StorySoora Samharan is one of the most revered day, which is mainly celebrated in Tamil Nadu. This day holds a great religious significance among Hindus. According to the Hindu Scriptures, Skanda Purana, once there was a demon named Surapadma, who was very powerful and he established his own kingdom. After sometime she started dominating all the deities and people of that kingdom and he also captured the earth. He started doing injustice with the people and it spread everywhere. All the deities then went to Lord Kartikeya to stop this unrighteousness. Lord Skanda then came in power and fought with this demon. The battle lasted for six days and then finally Lord Murugan killed the demon Surapadma. The day hem killed the demon, celebrated as Soora Samharan. Devotees celebrate the victory of Lord Murugan again the evil forces.
