On the day of Anant Chaturdashi, devotees will immerse the idols of Lord Ganesha in the water and this is celebrated as Ganesh Visarjan.

During last days of the month, Shraddha Paksha will commence and people will offer prayers to their forefather and ancestors and get rid of Pitra dosha and free them from the cycle of birth and death by offering prayers and performing Pitra Puja.
