Goddess Bagalamukhi is one of eighth Mahavidhya's, who is mainly worshipped by the sadhaks to attain various powers. Bagalmukhi Jayanti is commemorated to celebrate the birth anniversary of Goddess Bagalamukhi. The day holds a great religious and spiritual significance among Hindus. According to panchang, Bagalamukhi Jayanti is celebrated on Ashtami tithi of shukla paksha in the month of Vaishakha. This year, Bagalamukhi Jayanti will be celebrated on April 24, 2026.

Goddess Baglamukhi is one of the Mahavidhya's. She is mainly worshipped by the sadhaks and tantriks to attain several powers and devotees worship her during Gupt Navratri that falls in the month of Magha and Ashadha. Goddess Baglamukhi is the remover of the demons and protects the devotees from evil spirits, evil eye and black magic. She is seen in the yellow clothes wearing yellow bangles and that's why she is known as Pitambara Mata. She provides shield to the devotees from their enemies. Devotees, who worship her with devotion and surrender everything to her, they never face any difficulty and they can't be attacked by the negative energies. She is one of the ferocious forms of Goddess Durga so devotees should always be careful while worshipping Goddess Bagalamukhi because one single mistake can lead to a big problem so better they worship her under the guidance of an expert. Devotees are advised to just worship her by lighting a diya and offer her clothes but don't chant mantras because one should follow various ruled and guidelines while chanting mantras and small mistakes can bring negative karma.
According to Hindu scriptures, it is believed that once upon a time everything was on the verge of destruction during Satyug, when there was a massive flood. People were dying as a result of the panic. When Lord Vishnu saw the worst, he went to Lord Shiva for assistance. However, Lord Shiva informed him that only Goddess Shakti had the ability to stop the storm and flood. The Goddess was severely punished by Lord Vishnu, and she reappeared as Baglamukhi at Haridra Sarovar in Gujarat's Saurashtra area, who saved all living beings. Goddess Bagalmukhi has been revered ever since.

3. Place an idol or yantra of Goddess Baglamukhi on a wooden plank covered with yellow cotton fabric.
4. Light a diya with desi ghee in front of the Goddess, adorn her with yellow clothes, offer her yellow flowers garland and yellow sweets as prasadam (gram flour halwa or any other yellow sweets).
5. Recite Durga mata mantras to appease the Goddess.
6. Devotees can visit the baglamukhi temple to seek blessings.
