Shankaracharya Jayanti has a great religious significance in Hinduism. On this day, Adi Shankaracharya was born. He is known as the Indian spiritual Guru in Hinduism. He was also a philosopher of Sanatan Dharma. He preached about Advaita Vedanta, a school of Vedic thought that influenced Hinduism. Adi Shankaracharya was born in the little Keralan village of Kaldi. His mother was Aryamba, and his father was Sivaguru. He is regarded as one of the finest spiritual Gurus and intellectuals in Indian mythology. He also preached about the Parmatma, Atma, Vairagya, and Moksha. He was always well-versed in our Vedas and Upanishads. It is also believed that Adi Guru Shankaracharya ji lived a very short life. The Panchkayatna system of devotion, which respects Lord Shiva, Goddess, Lord Vishnu, Lord Surya, and Lord Ganesha, was first introduced by Shankaracharya. He is also believed to have mastered the Vedas at the age of sixteen. He is the author of numerous stotrams, books, and scriptures.
In order to advance religious and spiritual understanding, Guru Adi Shankaracharya created four maths in each of the four directions. These four maths are called Kalika Math, Govardhan Math, Sharda Math, and Jyotir Math. In order to govern each of the four Maths in a way that would best serve Hindus, he picked his closest and most devoted followers to lead them. He made them prepared and taught them with disseminating information about the Vedas, Upnishads, and other sacred texts. The four Vedas that comprise Sanatana Dharma—the Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda, and Atharvaveda—have all been instrumental in bringing attention to Vedic culture.
According to Hindu texts, all the gods chose to turn to Lord Shiva for assistance when humanity lacked holiness and spirituality. It is believed that Lord Shiva told these gods that he would appeared in the form of Adi Shankaracharya in order to inspire humanity to seek spirituality and enlighten them with the ultimate truth of life. Guru Adi Shankaracharya appeared on earth to help people overcome this darkness and to provide a variety of Hindu religious teachings.
