Coldplay Kiss Cam scandal's Kristin Cabot to speak at Crisis Conference, tickets priced at USD 875
Remember that cringe-worthy moment at a Coldplay concert in 2025 when a quick intimate moment on the Kiss Cam turned into a full-blown global scandal? Yeah, that one. It was 2025's juiciest drama, and it's still got everyone buzzing. Kristin Cabot, the former HR boss at Astronomer, got caught snuggling with her then-CEO, Andy Byron - a married man. The clip went viral on the internet-- getting billions of views, memes, and a swift double resignation. Fast forward to now, and Cabot's flipping the script, stepping up as a keynote speaker at a big crisis comms conference.
The video exploded online. Social media lit up with reactions, from hilarious edits to brutal takedowns.
What gained people's attention was when Andy's wife, Megan Kerrigan, saw the video and posted it on her Instagram Stories. Overnight, these execs went from being corporate power players to tabloid headline makers-- and their company, Astronomer, became a household name! Kristin, Astronomer's Chief People Officer, quit soon after, owning up to a "bad decision." Andy stepped down as CEO, vanished from the spotlight, and hasn't said much since. The internet had a field day, turning their slip-up into endless scarlet-letter jokes.
Tickets aren't cheap: $750 to $875 (INR 67,773 to INR 79,068), including 12 other keynotes. Critics online are roasting it, joking that it's pricier than Coldplay tickets. But, if you're in PR or crisis management, this could be gold - lessons from the trenches on spinning scandal into strength.

The Kiss Cam moment that broke the internet
Imagine this situation: July 16, 2025, Boston's Fenway Park, Coldplay performing on the stage. Kristin Cabot, 53 and a mom of two, is cozying up with Andy Byron on the jumbotron's infamous Kiss Cam. They look like any couple in love, sharing a sweet moment. Then reality hits - their faces flash up huge for thousands to see, live on broadcast. What happened next took just a few seconds, but it became a viral moment that broke the internet. Seeing their face flash on the big screen, Kristin and Andy panic and they quickly duck and hide. But it's too late and the damage is already done. Chris Martin even chimes in from the stage, quipping if they're "having an affair or just really shy." Spoiler: It was the affair. The video exploded online. Social media lit up with reactions, from hilarious edits to brutal takedowns.

Public shaming hits hard - especially for women
What followed was a masterclass in online pile-on. Kristin faced relentless shaming, with comments zeroing in on her as the "other woman." It's that old double standard: Women often bear the brunt, while guys sometimes skate by. She described it as a "scarlet letter" in later interviews, lamenting how one fleeting moment nuked her reputation. Months of silence, life upheavals, and soul-searching later, she's breaking her silence. No more hiding - Cabot's grabbing the mic to reclaim her story.Taking back the narrative at PRWeek's Crisis Comms Conference
Enter PRWeek's 2026 Crisis Comms Conference in D.C. on April 16, 2026. Cabot's headlining a 30-minute session called "Kristin Cabot: Taking Back the Narrative" alongside PR legend Dini von Mueffling, a Hall of Famer, as per their website. The conference promo paints it as a deep dive into "one of the decade's most explosive personal brand crises." They'll unpack the "PR architecture" that helped her survive a 300-billion-view storm - immediate damage control to long-game recovery. It's pitched as a real-world playbook for pivoting through today's "unexpected occurrences," which feel like daily norms now.Tickets aren't cheap: $750 to $875 (INR 67,773 to INR 79,068), including 12 other keynotes. Bold move or cash grab? The internet weighs in
Cabot's December 2025 interviews showed vulnerability, but this conference gig? It's next-level. While Andy stays low-key, she's owning the chaos, turning humiliation into a TED-style redemption arc. Fans cheer her resilience; skeptics call it tone-deaf, especially with those ticket prices. Is it empowering women to bounce back, or monetizing misery? What do you think? Capitalism at its peak. Shameless and totally undignified. They want to capitalize even these adultery too. So she is going to make more money playing victim card. What they were doing was immoral in full display and their extra marital relationship. If people are trolling them they deserved it but still she wants to encash that too. This is what our society has come to now. What they did was wrong, period and it should be a lesson to all of us but do we need to pay to listen to her?Read allPost comment
