Gautam Gambhir’s serene Rs.20 crore Delhi home which has beautifully utilised natural light for a grand impact

Cricket icon Gautam Gambhir, now Indian Cricket team's head coach and famous for his agressive attitude in the cricket field, has designed a completely different kind of space off the field: a serene, elegant, family-focused home in New Delhi that is reflective of his personality as well as his tastes. Located in a secluded, tree-lined lane, the two-story home is notable for its serenity, elegance, and thoughtful details that reveal the personality of the owner. According to Magicbricks, Gautam Gambhir’s home is valued at approximately Rs.20 crores, making it one of the premium residences in the area.

The exclusive tour of the Delhi home by Gautam Gambhir and his wife Natasha Gambhir for Asian Paints gives a glimpse into some significant aspects of Gautam Gambhir's home.

Calm, layered white palette

The most striking impression of Gambhir’s home is the soothing use of white. Rather than a flat, clinical white, the interiors are cloaked in layered tones of ivory, linen and cream, creating a soft, welcoming glow that evolves with natural light throughout the day.

Grand, light-filled atrium with domed ceiling

Stepping inside, visitors encounter a spectacular atrium that reflects the essence and setting of the residence. The domed ceiling allows for maximum utilisation of natural light, where sunlight filters down upon the dark wood railings and decorative woodwork, providing a perfect blend of brightness and warmth.

Rich wood and elegant interiors

While white is the dominant colour, wood is used in abundance to provide contrast and depth to the space. Rich wood is used on the staircases, screens, and door frames, providing a cohesive look and feel to the space, all part of a cohesive design theme. The beautiful crystal chandeliers, marbles, and metallic accents give a sense of luxury, and there is no overuse or excess in the design.

Trophy Lounge: A tribute to cricketing legacy

One of the most personal and emotional spaces in the residence is the trophy lounge, where Gambhir has curated a space filled with cricketing memorabilia, medals, signed bats, jerseys and trophies from his illustrious cricketing career. This space is not just a collection of awards and accolades; it is a space that is deeply personal and meaningful, and it complements the serene and relaxing atmosphere of the residence.

Family-oriented rooms and details

The home is clearly designed for family life. From the formal dining area with elegant seating and embroidered blinds to the daughters’ shared soft-pink playroom, each space balances function and beauty. The playroom is intentionally designed to grow with the children, using colours and features that won’t feel dated as they get older.

Tailored window dressings and textures

Natasha Gambhir, who steered much of the décor, paid special attention to window treatments. Each window is dressed thoughtfully with layered curtains, scalloped pelmets and embroidered trims to enhance light control and aesthetic unity across rooms. This use of textured fabrics brings softness and sculptural interest to the spaces.

Rituals and relaxation spaces

Beyond aesthetics, the home accommodates daily rituals that ground family life. A favourite corner is the balcony, where Gautam and Natasha begin their mornings with tea, watching the sunrise and sharing quiet, peaceful moments. These small, intentional spaces reinforce the idea that home isn’t just about décor, it’s about peace, habit and comfort.

Elegant family sanctuary

Gautam Gambhir’s Delhi residence is more than a luxurious celebrity bungalow, it’s a personal sanctuary that harmonises calm design with meaningful living. Through a thoughtful palette of layered whites, rich wood tones, light-filled spaces and tender family corners, the home embodies both comfort and sophistication. Each detail reflects not just aesthetic elegance, but a philosophy of living that embraces peace, memory and thoughtful design, true to the spirit of the man who calls it home - a place where comfort, family, and mindful living come together in perfect harmony.

What is the use of such a Home when the big Public Garden outside is a Registaan, a Desert, unorganized, full of dirt, dust and garbage. What Gambhir is doing therein than to sit in his ivory tower and showcase the same. Thumbs down.
