I haven’t seen the world getting united for a cause this deeply in 29 years of my life. Who would have thought that the reel life will knock us down in real life one day? With everything that’s been happening around the world from China to Italy to the USA to Iran to India and so many other countries, it is difficult to comprehend the situation and none of us are immune to the sense of panic and anxiety caused by this pandemic.

It took three months to reach 100,000 coronavirus cases worldwide. The second 100,000 took just 12 days. This exponential growth of infected people and the uncertainty coming along is horrifying but it is imperative to stay aware and positive.

Social media is bombarded with funny memes, news articles, videos, more deceptive than credible.  Everybody overstocking their groceries, buying sanitizers as if it is the antidote to Covid-19. Barren streets which bustled with people some time back, the lock-down of various institutions and cities is a sad reality. Many things have stopped due to the corona outbreak and it is severely affecting the livelihood of a lot of people, the less fortunate people whose meals are dependent on their daily wages. Not everyone is the beneficiary of this temporary lock-down. We need to isolate ourselves to stop the exponential curve.

And amidst this darkness there is a ray of hidden sunshine, we just need to figure out what that is for us. Often people long for a break from their daily routine to get their life together, to do their favorite things, to unwind, so here it is, “A blessing in disguise”, use it judiciously. Don’t let it go away, do something constructive, utilize this temporary shutdown to the fullest.

Kudos to Health care workers across the globe, they are living gods. And looking at how they are devoting themselves to save more and more lives without taking any break and how communities across the globe are trying to make social distancing easier for people proves only one thing that humanity prevails despite all the negativity, fear, religion, ideology etc.

Stay Home and be a Hero.!
