International Day of Families- May 15
“What can you do to promote world peace? Go home and love your family”- Mother Teresa
The world revolves around
“Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”
And “Aham Bramhasmi”
Just the way on one side
We believe in the unity of our own souls, on the other side we emphasise on “The unity of World”
Hail to all the families around the globe, who are struggling and building up their families and making this world a better place to live in peace.
Today is International day of families,
In 1993, the general assembly decided in a resolution that May 15 of every year should be observed as International Day of Families.
UN decided “Families in Development” as their motto for the year 2020.
In the context to pandemic Covid-19, UN regarded this motto to emphasise the importance of our families. It is believed that family helps us to come out of economical burden and crisis because every member of the family suffers the poverty at the same time.
It is a well-known fact that while the world brought many biological and economical developments but in the rat race of economy we lost our moralities somewhere!
Although in this Pandemic we have lost so many lives I would still say thanks to Mother Earth for giving us a chance to relive our bonds within the walls.
No doubt the world is revolving around theories of relativity and sustainability but deep down we are still connected to our old beliefs like “VASUDHAIVA KUTUMBAKAM”.
While we stepped into nuclear families we somewhere lost our shock absorbers. The true protecting pillars of our extended family!
We can’t deny the fact that any damage to the nuclear family shuts all the doors of relations and bonds.
It is rightly said about the nuclear family. “The end of the marriage is the end of a family “
Well, somewhere this pandemic in 2020 turned out to be a blessing for the welfare of the family and the world.
Which we lost in late 18-19 centuries in industrialisation.
