What about our culture inspires us to leave trash behind? makes us desire to defile a tidy environment? I frequently notice “paan” spittle, crumpled paper, plastic bags, or just some debris in the corners of staircases, pricey lifts, and on compound walls. Even if there is a trash can nearby, this still occurs. What is this excuse that keeps us from extending our hands and putting the trash in the trashcan? And how may this be resolved?
“Cleanliness is next to godliness,” they say. Some claim that it is due to the heavy foot traffic in the areas that there is trash everywhere which I think is something that people just say to themselves for not caring about the cleanliness of the environment. In many countries all over the world there are people who take initiatives by themselves to keep the surroundings clean like japan, Oman, USA etc. Maybe if people start taking initiative about cleanliness then I think the saying “Clean earth, green earth” will stand it’s value and even by keeping the surroundings clean we protect ourselves by reducing the pollution, increasing greenery which in turn will give us clean oxygen which will be beneficial for our health only. This is something to think about….
