There are hundreds of tall achievers in our holy land. Few have built sprawling Info-tech type of Big Empires – shared their immense wealth earned in legitimacy with millions of aspiring youth and others.
Few top authorities in knowledge streams useful to mankind are towers of guidance to inquisitive minds. Few sages, legal luminaries, courageous top-class Judges, and wise pens/authors have earnestly tried to pronounce what is judiciousness amid conflicts. Few musicians, mathematicians, scientists of tall order are epitomes of delight to humanity to dispel ignorance. Such great achievers manifest spirituality, set a high degree of selfless service, and are an enigmatic inspiration to fellow humans.
There are thousands of dedicated humans who do their duty in highly spirited pursuits – be it in any field – their diligence, sincerity, focus, and ability to resist temptations to make quick bucks/fame – keeps the wheels of society cleansed & lubricated. They are models of how to make meaning out of our presence here – whatever be the size quantum of contribution in the chosen path.
There are lacs of farmers, soldiers, and such others – whose names aren’t well-known by & large. Farmers who love their land and nature, live close to nature –soldiers in different ladders who have taken pledge to protect our holy land, face hardships in tough terrains and high altitudes – are living embodiments of genuine patriotism – applied nationalism. Without them, can we eat or sleep peacefully?
There are millions of ordinary mortals – who carry on with their routine mundane & other activities – with reasonable hard work – without cheating themselves by allurements – breathe the air of our holy land in cohesive social harmony/amity – their achievement vests more in not succumbing to pangs of avarice, jealousy, hatred against fellow humans. Such presence may not even be felt by society; as they are often taken for granted.
There are crores of children – students – youth who constantly look for good openings, avenues/scope to tap after obtaining a certificate or degree – without their presence, life would be drab. They are out there to keep the glow of national lamps by aspirations, bubbling with enthusiasm – and explore ways and means to translate unmet dreams of citizens in their lifetime.
Every citizen is a symbol of applied Patriotism/Nationalism – in varying degrees – not everyone is slated to be a top Achiever. And in the process – the caring/sharing spirit manifests in multiple ways. There are hurdles, short-comings, constraints – in every pursuit – precisely to bring out hidden potentials – understand true meaning of life – that opens up & expands The Heart – it is always co-existence in cohesive spirit – and therefore the degree of success (by default failures too) are part of the game/drama unfolding in changing scenes/images around us.
And there are few perverts, thieves, criminals, etc. – not seen for the first time in our generation/century – but they are part of the social systems. They were there in old millennia too – and will be there in future also – to highlight the value of virtuous as well as ordinary ways of living devoid of perversion/hatred, etc. 100% perfect Good or 100% total Evil is impossible.
And we see many politicians – Neo-Neta Lords to be precise — whose original contribution to mankind is not what it is often bloated out of proportion — the word politics is no longer not what it means by academic definition – And there are huge Organizations like RSS — whose past hardcore members have ascended to top political high. And there is friction in the polarized society. Who are real patriotic citizens – models of applied nationalism – subtle spiritual manifestations — is anybody’s guess.
