How can mental health issues affect job?
Everyone knows about workplace bullying. In an organization, most employees face this kind of situation. In simple terms, it is to dominate another human being. I am not talking about the physical harm but it’s more about mental harm.
Most of the mental harm includes constant criticism, repetitive insult in public, making fun of the target in public and behind the work, constant work pressure, not giving any credit to the target for their work, and not giving respect to anything shared by the target and spreading rumors about the target. This can result in poor communication, low productivity, poor job performance, poor decision making, and decreased profits and the employee might frequently switch workplaces.
To avoid this kind of situation the workplaces should promote mental well-being programs such as EAP *(employee assistance program )* and they can provide relaxation spaces and each workplace should provide mental health policies. Even employers, managers, and HR can bring change to the workplace. They should train for staff welfare where different methods are employed to tackle the way people act, think and feel. Even employees should provide mental health programs.
So by this kind of activity each employee can have a positive mental health and it allows to cope up with challenges , even good ones and setbacks in their lives, both at work and at home.
