Patna: Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) president, Upendra Kushwaha, on Friday took a swipe at the viral video of RJD CM face Tejashwi Prasad Yadav dancing on the Ganga Path in Patna.
Addressing the ‘constitutional rights delimitation reform maharally’ organised by his party in Patna, the former Union minister said, “Dancing on the banks of Ganga will not make any one CM. Had it been so, the greatest dancer would have been the Prime Minister of the country. He is young and I advise him to avoid such dance and focus on improving his image in public.” He also said RJD has nothing to do with development.
Tejashwi recently shared on social media platforms his video of dance with a group of youngsters on Ganga Path during night hours.
Earlier, Union minister Jitan Ram Manjhi had also taken a dig at Tejashwi’s dance.
Kushwaha also took a dig at leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and said the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar had never been an issue and his yatra started on zero and ended on zero.
In an oblique reference to NDA partners like Union ministers Chirag Paswan and Jitan Ram Manjhi, Kushwaha said if some of the NDA leaders avoid self-goal and fight unitedly, the coming assembly election results will be better than in the Lok Sabha polls last year.
Kushwaha said the NDA will form govt in Bihar again under the leadership of CM Nitish Kumar. “No matter how much the opposition parties try, they will not succeed. The NDA lost some seats last time due to self-goal. Therefore, in this election, it is important that all the allies unite and ensure the victory of the NDA candidates, he said and appreciated the works done and the recent decisions taken by PM Narendra Modi and CM Nitish Kumar for the people’s welfare in Bihar.
In another oblique reference to CM Nitish Kumar, the RLM chief said had Jagdeo Prasad named his political heir, his ‘Shoshit Samaj Dal’ would have survived. “My voice must be reaching the people sitting nearby,” he said, while referring to the JD(U) office adjacent to Miller High School ground where Kushwaha was addressing the rally onthe death anniversary of socialist leader Jagdeo Prasad.
Kushwaha had recently advocated for Nitish’s son Nishant Kumar to take charge of the JD(U) to save the party.
