The 25-year-old Vijay, who is a subedar with 16 Dogra Regiment, took the spotlight with a stunning display of precision shooting to fetch India's second medal in the London Games and the fourth shooting medal in Olympic history. Vijay kept his composure in the tense final where he shot 30 for a total of 585 to clinch the silver medal, only the second such medal since Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore won one in the Athens Olympics in 2004.
