Memorial service held for Indian orthopedic surgeon in US
A memorial service to celebrate the life of a retired Indian surgeon was held recently at the Hindu Temple of Greater

Dr Nayak lived in
His desire to pursue medicine stemmed from his deep compassion for the needy of his native country India. For years, he worked in a government hospital in India and provided free services to the poor.
He specialized in orthopedics and moved to Ontario, where he specialized in arthroscopic knee surgery, carpel tunnel surgery and rotator cuff repairs.
"I continually advise my patients to quit smoking and to lose weight if they want healthy bones," he would say.
Dr Nayak is survived by his wife Suneethi, his two sons Naresh and Suresh, his daughter Sangeeta and seven grand children.
