Varun Verma, a New Delhi native, has gained recognition as one of the finest award- winning producers in Hollywood. Varun discovered his passion for filmmaking at an early age and decided to pursue it by moving to Los Angeles. He started his career as a freelance producer until an LA-based production company 'Replay Collective' invited him to join their team.

As a freelancer, Varun spent quite some time crashing on his college mate's couch. One of the biggest challenges he faced during that phase was that of stability, as both pay and projects fluctuated. His work involved quite a bit of travel for location scouting, meetings, etc. but he could afford to buy only a second-hand car.
But everything changed in the course of one shoot at an abandoned town in Boron, California, when he came in touch with Replay Collective, which was shooting an EA Games Hardline commercial at the same location as his short film. His efficient management of the schedules of both shoots impressed Replay Collective and they asked him to stay connected with them for their upcoming music video projects.
The rest, as they say, is history.
Varun specializes in line production and has worked with some of the top individuals and companies in the industry. As a key figure in production, he has taken on large-scale music video production for people like Ricky Dillon and Grammy Award winner Snoop Dog.

Going beyond just music videos, he has also worked with top executives and creative teams in the industry to launch successful commercials, including those for AT&T and Electronic Arts Video Games. Varun also led line production for Doritos' largest campaign - the Doritos Superbowl commercial.

Varun's film 'The Love Effect' received recognition and awards at the Hollywood Short Film Festival and the GreenBay Film Festival. The film was supported by the ‘Mental Health America’ organization.
"Hollywood is full of remarkable talent from all over the world and a key to success is passion of doing things you love. It's all about getting the one opportunity and taking advantage of that opportunity to decide the rest of the future if you don’t flunk that," says Varun. His initial days as a freelancer were mainly focused on creating networks and working with top experts to understand and gain familiarity with the work ethics of the industry. He believes networking is of much relevance in his line of work.
Talking about his next move, Varun reveals that he recently started work on a web series in virtual reality. "It is the revolutionary next-big-technology in filmmaking after 3D and Indian cinema should experience that," he signs off.
