The President of the Association, Kavita Singh, presided over the event and said she was proud to be a part of this celebration and would continue to support the Indian community in keeping up with the cultural and traditional events. The main idea of organising this fair was to keep up the spirit of India with the adults and the younger generation in touch with their roots—food, culture, music and regional dresses.

People arrived, decked up in their regional attires. The entire premises were done up in colorful stalls, balloons and streamers. Many refreshment stalls were set up. Food stalls from different states of India like Goa, Rajasthan, South Indian states and Maharashtra were also set up to serve regional delicacies like Goan shrimp curry, Daal bati churma, Hyderabadi Biryani, Pongal, Vada Pav and many more.

Stalls selling Indian clothes and hand-crafted jewelries were also a part of the Mela.

Cultural performances were also lined up. There were performances depicting the cultural heritage of different states and also individual performances. The photo booth too saw a long queue from the visitors.
